Seaweeds
Eel grass has green leaves and green seeds. They have a perennial life cycle and are 30.48 cm long. Eel grass can be found in a lot of places like Canada, the lower states in USA and Asia in streams, rivers and bays. The grass can survive in brackish water and fresh water. Reproduce by clonal (also known as fragmentation) which is when the plant splits into fragments and they develop into mature eel grass.
Sea lettuce or Ulva lactuca which is it's scientific name is a bright green color. Can be found almost worldwide and can be found in all levels of the shore and also in brackish water.Taxon for sea lettuce is plantae, chlorophyta, ulvophyceae, ulvales, ulvaceae and ulva. Kelp is a brown algae, the thallus consists of flat or leaf-like structures ,can grow from 30 to 80 meters and there are about 30 different genera. It grows underwater in "forests" in shallow waters that are rich with nutrients of temperatures of 6 to 14 degrees Celsius. Rockweed is a common large brown seaweed. They live in water depths of 34.75 meter at max with a water temperature of 11 to 12 degrees Celsius. They grow to be 0.5 to 2 meters long and live to be between 10 and 15 years old. |
